Mount Kenya University (MKU) is a private, multi-campus university in the municipal town of Thika, Kenya. It was established by Prof. Simon N. Gicharu and has grown to become one of the most significant private universities in Kenya, serving a student population of 52,000 as of September 2015.[2] MKU is chartered and ISO 9001:2015 certified.[3][4]
